What is the role of MEA?
MEA authentication is part of the document legalisation process. MEA guidance states that legalisation is based on the signature of designated signing authorities and that MEA does not take responsibility for the contents of the document.

MEA guidance describes preliminary authentication for documents not covered under e-Sanad and submission through designated outsourced service providers. It advises applicants not to rely on unauthorised persons for apostille or attestation services.
